Terms & Conditions

No.9’s Pillars of Change is open to participants of any age; however, participants must be at least 18 years old to submit artwork. If you are under 18 years old, a parent, or legal guardian must submit your artwork for you.

No.9 will not sell any personal information that may be collected through this initiative.

Acceptance of the artworks/images is within the sole discretion of No.9 Contemporary Art & the Environment (No.9). Submitting artwork does not guarantee that it will be displayed or distributed by No.9 or its partners.

By submitting artwork/images to No.9’s Pillars of Change, participants grant No.9, its partners, directors, employees, and representatives a perpetual license to reproduce and distribute these submissions, and to transmit or otherwise communicate a display of the submissions to the public (including but not limited to digital billboards, print media, film, television, internet and other electronic media), and to authorize others to do the same for such limited purposes. Attribution of authorship in such reproduction, distribution, display, and communication of submissions is at the sole discretion of No.9 and its partners. This license shall endure for the life of the copyright of submissions. By submitting artwork/images, participants understand that No.9 cannot control unauthorized use of submitted artwork/images by persons not associated with No.9 once submissions have been shared publicly. Participants forever waive any right to inspect or approve any publication of submissions by No.9, its employees, representatives, and partners.

Participants retain the copyright to any materials they have created and submitted. Artwork and materials presented and/or made available for download from the pillarsofchange.art website remain the copyright of No.9 and the authors of these works (but are free to customize, or otherwise modify, and/or share).

Participants must be the sole creators of the artwork/images they submit (with the exception of the artwork and designs provided by No.9), and certify that the submissions do not infringe any third party’s copyrights or trademarks, nor does it violate the rights of privacy of, or libel, any third party. By submitting artwork/images, participants agree to defend and hold No.9 and its directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives, and other artists, harmless from any and all claims, complaints, lawsuits, proceedings, grievances and damages resulting from any failure to obtain appropriate clearances or releases or any other breach of copyright.
